Ignite- Inspiring Girls in Technology Exploration

IGNITE = Inspiring Girls IN Technology Exploration

What will we be learning about this month?

Ever wonder who implements, oversees and enforces the state’s coastal management program? Have you ever heard of cold stunning in sea turtles?
Meet Katie Perzanowski, an Environmental Analyst with the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), where she focuses on Coastal enforcement and protecting CT’s tidal wetlands. In addition to her full time career, Katie also helps rehabilitate sick and/or injured marine mammals and turtles through volunteering with Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program.

Kids and teens in grades 5-12 are welcome to sign up and attend 4:00-5:00 PM this month, Wed., April 28th.

We will do a brain warm up session 4:00-4:30 PM and interview this month’s expert 4:30-5:00 PM.
