Celebrate Freedom to Read Week with a special author event with graphic novelist Ryan Estrada. Everyone is encouraged to read his graphic novel Banned Book Club.
Banned Book Club is the true story of Kim Hyun Sook’s time in the student activist movement in South Korea during the 1980s under the Fifth Republic of Korea. Ryan will discuss the writing process, collaborating with artist Ko Hyung Ju, and his new graphic novel No Rules Tonight which is a sequel to Banned Book Club. There will also be an original art giveaway for attendees.
For this program, the author will be virtually hosted at the Simsbury Pubic Library while the attendees will be in person. Registration is required.
