Calling all KRU, TRU, and Comics Club kids and teens for a fantastic author and illustrator Zoom visit!
Instructions: This is a special two part Zoom program for all our creative writers, artists, and readers.
Register for each one individually.
When: Tuesday, October 12. Registration required for Zoom link.
Part One: 5-5:30 PM. Open to Grades 4-8.
Q&A and Discussion with BAD SISTER graphic novel author, Charise Mericle Harper
What will we do? Read the book then show up to discuss BAD SISTER and ask your questions to the author: Charise Mericle Harper. She told her childhood stories in her book, hear how to tell YOUR own story in graphic format. We have 14 copies of the book (10 random copies will have a bookplate signed by the author and illustrator); due to limited copies, the free book is only for those in Grades 4-8. How to pick up your free copy of BAD SISTER:
Sign up to get a free finished copy with a signed bookplate from the author and illustrator of BAD SISTER. Pick up the book from the children’s desk on the 2nd floor of the library, read it, show up, and participate in a fun discussion-and the book is yours to keep!
Limited number of books available. Due to high demand for this title, we ask that you pickup your book within 5 days of registration. If we hand out all of our signed copies of BAD SISTER, don’t worry, you can still participate, ask us to place a copy on hold for you!
How does this work:
1. Sign up for this event online.
2. Pick up the book from the 2nd Floor Kid’s Desk.
Library hours: Mon.-Thurs. 10-8:30 PM & Fri. – Sat. 10-5 PM.
No appointment needed.
3. Read the book and show up to the Zoom meeting on Tues. 10/12, and you get to keep the book!*
*The rule is if you miss the discussion, you have to turn your book back in, to be fair.
Prior to the program, first time program attendees may receive a call to confirm registration information for safety issues. If we are unable to confirm information, you will not be let in the day of the program.
