Winter 2023 Book Buddies: sign up for Big Buddies!

Teens in Grades 7-12 can sign up to be a Big Buddy!

Are you a teen who needs volunteer hours? Do you like volunteering with little kids? Book Buddies is for you!

What is Book Buddies?

Big Buddies are teen volunteers in Grades 7-12. You will get paired with your own Little Buddy in Grades K-3.

What do we do? We meet, read together, and we make an art project each week. 

Dates: Time: 4:30-5:30 PM all Thursdays in February. 

Thursdays:  2/2/,   2/9,  2/16,  2/23, from 4:30-5:30 PM, in person.

Registration required. When you register you sign up for all four Book Buddies dates!

New Buddies must attend a 45 minute orientation. 

Choose one date to attend:

Thursday, 1/19, 4:30-5:15pm

Or Thursday, 1/26, 4:30-5:15pm

New Big Buddies or past Virtual Big Buddies: need to take the in person orientation. You will go through a quick training which includes learning the layout out the Children’s floor and where to find the best books for your Little Buddy. 

If you were a Spring ’22 or Fall ’22 Big Buddy: you don’t need an orientation.
