Child Trafficking in Connecticut

Audience: this program is intended for parents.

In this 2 hour program you will learn:

-How to identify warning signs and pathways to victimization.

-How to identify trafficking victims.

-How best to respond and support identified trafficking victims.

-Prevalence of child sex and labor trafficking in Connecticut.

-Impact of trafficking on the victims

-Who are the buyers/exploiters of this crime.

This 2 hour program will be led by Melissa Garden, MS DCF Court and Community Liaison, and Liaison to Human-Anti-trafficking Response Team (H.A.R.T). Avon Police will also speak on this topic.  Suzi Alexe, LCSW, from Avon Youth Services, will be on the call for support and follow up.


This program will be in webinar format; only the speakers will be visible on your screen. You can ask your questions to the panelists anonymously.
