Saturdays, 2/8/20–3/14/20. Classes start at 10:15 am.

Data and Analytics are not just the “hot buzz words” these days.  They are being used effectively to change the way business, governments and we function.  Second Innings has created a curriculum to get people knowledgeable in the field of Data and Analytics. This is the first class in the curriculum. The class is designed to gives student a broad view of the data and analytics space and prepare them for the rest of the classes later this year.

February 8, 2020:  Class 1 – Introduction to Data, Analytics and Information

February 15, 2020: Class 2 – All about data – Storage and Summarization

February 22, 2020: Class 3 – Visual story telling

February 29, 2020: Class 4 – Connect data and visual story telling 

March 7, 2020: Class 5 – Power BI

March 14, 2020: Class 6 – BIG Data and Machine learning

 Skills needed for this series:

Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to install software on your machine (if needed).

At the end of the course, the student should have enough information related to the field of data analytics  to help them determine if this is a field they want to pursue further. They will also be able to plan for the other courses being delivered in 2020.

This series aims to give students a broad understanding of the data analytics space. This course will be spread over six classes. While each class builds on another, students can choose ANY class that interests them. Free, no registration.
