What is Book Buddies?

Big Buddies are teen volunteers in Grades 7-12. You will get paired with your own Little Buddy in Grades K-3.

What do we do? We meet, read together, and we make an art project each week. 

Dates:

Thursdays: 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, from 4:30-5:30 PM, in person.

Registration required. When you register you sign up for all four Book Buddies dates!

Orientation: New Big Buddies must attend a 45 minute orientation. Choose one date: 10/6 or 10/20, from 4:30-5:30 PM.

If you were a Virtual Big Buddy from Spring ’20-Fall ’21: you need to take the in person orientation. You will go through a quick training which includes learning the layout out the Children’s floor and where to find the best books for your Little Buddy. 

Returning in person Spring ’22 Big Buddies DO NOT need an orientation.
