Man on Wire, 2008
Step back in time to 1974 and walk the high wire with Philippe Petit. As a young man in France, Petit learned to walk tightropes. What better way to prove himself than to string a wire between the towers of the World Trade Center in New York? This documentary follows Petit and his team on a clandestine operation as they get their equipment to the top of the tower and span the 150-foot gap between the buildings, allowing Petit to spend 45 minutes 1300 feet above street level. Exhilarating and awe inspiring! Directed by James Marsh. Rated PG-13, 1 hour 34 min.
