July Teen Writer’s Block

Wednesday July 7 2021 at 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

When: Wednesday July 7th,  3:00-4:00 PM

Open to teens entering Grades 7-12 in Fall 2021.

This group is for teen writers looking to find other teens with the same interest. This group will be run by Juliana Spink Mills, a wonderful local science fiction and fantasy author.
This month’s theme:

Let’s write a short flash fiction piece inspired by music! Choose your own soundtrack and bring headphones so you can write along to it, or listen to a selected track over the Zoom meeting. Afterwards, anyone who wants to share can read their flash fiction out loud to the group. Note: If you are new to Writer’s Block, ‘flash fiction’ is a term used for short, bite-sized stories. They can be humorous or serious, and from any genre — sci fi, fantasy, romance, contemporary, etc.

You will get a confirmation email right after you register. If you don’t, email Marisa Hicking at mhicking@libraryconnection.info

Zoom link will be sent out 24 hours before the program start time to all registered teens. Make sure to enter your email address correctly so you receive emails about this program.

Prior to the program, first time program attendees may receive a call to confirm registration information for safety issues. If we are unable to confirm information, you will not be let in the day of the program.

Registration will CLOSE 1 hour before the program.
