Our June exhibit features assemblages by artist Sarah Schneiderman. Each piece has been crafted by transforming non-recyclable trash and repurposed objects into realistic and finely crafted images. Her work investigates social, environmental and political issues. This exhibit features portraits of women, people of color, lesbians, gay mean, and trans people who have made great strides in politics and state and federal government in 2020/21.
Sarah Schneiderman has shown her work across the United States. She received a national Junior Scholastic Honorable Mention, First Place from the Art League of New Britain, Third Award from Connecticut Women Arts, and Gallery Sponsor Award from Greater New Britain Arts Alliance. Sarah has a BFA from the Corcoran School of Art and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. She resides in Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean and Glastonbury, Connecticut.
