Sunday 2/2/20: Photos for macOS
We’ll spend time working with Apple’s built-in photo management application on the iOS & the Mac. During this workshop, we’ll cover importing, editing and sharing, as well as organizing photos into albums and making slideshows. We’ll be using iOS 13 and macOS Mojave 10.14.6.
Sunday 2/9/20: Ancestry
Learn to use ancestry.com to build your family tree and search public documents. Sue has used this tool to build out her family tree and uncover almost 500 relatives. Leveraging ancestry.com, facebook.com and flickr.com, she’s been able to locate, connect with and share information with many relatives she never knew. The Avon Library’s computers allow you to access this database for free! Class is limited to 25 students for this session. (If you bring your laptop or iPad, you can sign up for a free two week trial account with ancestry.com, and it won’t be the same edition as the library’s).
Series sponsored by the Friends of the Avon Library.
Classes run 2:00 pm-3:30 pm. No registration required! Classes are held in the computer lab.
For the Mac classes, PLEASE bring your own device to class. Arrive early so that you can log on to the library’s wi-fi and get your device active!
