Sun Prints (For tweens entering grades 4-6)
Tuesday July 19 at 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Create beautiful artwork using SunPrint solar paper. This special paper lets you create beautiful images by placing natural objects on the paper and exposing it to the sun. Sunprinting is based on cyanotype, which is a photographic printing process that has been by artists for about 170 years! Following this process, you’ll be able to embellish your art with other materials!
Although the library will have some natural objects for printing, you are encouraged to bring your own nature items from home for the project.
This program will be held in the outdoor library courtyard. In order for the process to work, a sunny or partly cloudy day is needed. If it is a cloudy or rainy day, the program will be rescheduled to one of these rain dates: Thursday July 21st or Friday July 22 at 2:30pm.
Program will be from 2:30-3:15pm.
For tweens entering grades 4 through 6 only.
