Poet George Kinder (Virtual Event)

Tuesday April 19 at 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

George Kinder presents Reflections on Spectacle Pond

Inspired by Zen poets, landscape painting from China and Japan, and Thoreau’s Walden, author and thought leader George Kinder has spent the last 30 years finding creative inspiration from the solitude of living on the edge of a New England pond. Attuned to nature’s teachings, Kinder recorded its seasonal changes through poetry and photography that culminated in his latest book, Reflections on Spectacle Pond. He’s offering the book free to everyone through an email subscription that weekly presents a curated selection of his poems and photography reflecting the upcoming week. In this event, he offers an intimate window into his creative process with a poetry reading, photography slideshow, and discussion about meditation, nature, and inspiration. To learn more about George Kinder and to sign up for a free subscription to receive the weekly edition of Reflections on Spectacle Pond, visit www.georgekinder.com.

Co-Sponsored by the Avon Library and Avon Land Trust.
