Extraordinaries by TJ Klune, recommended for ages 13 and up. I have 6 copies of this book.

Some people are extraordinary. Some are just extra. is a queer coming-of-age story about a fanboy with ADHD and the heroes he loves. Nick Bell? Not extraordinary. But being the most popular fanfiction writer in the Extraordinaries fandom is a superpower, right?   After a chance encounter with Shadow Star, Nova City’s mightiest hero (and Nick’s biggest crush), Nick sets out to make himself extraordinary. And he’ll do it with or without the reluctant help of Seth Gray, Nick’s best friend (and maybe the love of his life). This is Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl meets Marissa Meyer’s Renegades.

Super Adjacent by Crystal Cestari, recommended for ages 12 and up. I have 4 copies of this book. All copies of this book have been given out..

What does it feel like to be the non-super half of a dynamic duo?

Claire has always wanted to work with superheroes and  now she’s landed an internship with the Chicago branch of Warrior Nation super heroes. Claire is ready to prove she belongs, super or not. But complicating plans is the newest WarNat hero, Girl Power (aka Joy), who happens to be egotistical and self-important . . . and pretty adorable.

Bridgette, meanwhile, wants out of WarNat. After years of dating the famous Vaporizer (aka Matt), she’s sick of being less important than all the people-in-peril in the city of Chicago. Then Bridgette meets Claire. It becomes a lot more complicated when the heroes go missing, leaving only Claire and Bridgette to save the day.
