The Diamond Eye: Virtual Author Event with Kate Quinn

Thursday March 31 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a virtual event, to celebrate the release of Kate Quinn’s new book, The Diamond Eye!

Inspired by real events and people, The Diamond Eye explores the true story of Lyudmila (Mila)  Pavilchenko, a studious girl transformed into a Russian sniper nicknamed “Lady Death” by the Nazi soldiers  she terrorized during World War II—and who is considered the most successful female sniper in history.  Ranging from the Soviet front to the glittering world of Washington DC where Mila strikes up an  unexpected friendship with First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, The Diamond Eye is a haunting novel of  heroism born of desperation, of a single mother who became a soldier, of a woman who found her place  in the world and changed the course of history forever.
