The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French people commemorating the alliance of France and the United States during the American Revolutionary War. The Statue, standing in New York harbor, is affectionately known as Lady Liberty. She has become one of the most famous icons of liberty in all of the world. Discover her journey to become part of New York City, it was not easy.
Presenter: John Cilio is a historian and storyteller. John lives in Sherman, CT and is the author of six historical books and over 200 articles covering a broad range of topics and has spoken on a wide range of topics in over 60 countries. His goal is to make history relevant, engaging, and enlightening
