Turtles are Treasures
Thursday, April 22 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

What’s the difference between a turtle and a tortoise? How many kinds of turtles live in Connecticut? When did the first turtle appear on Earth? Turtles are Treasures is a presentation about these charming shelled reptiles, from the first turtles to modern-day species, and their viral role for a healthy planet. Master Wildlife Conservationist Maureen Heidtmann will discuss these, and other, turtle topics.
Presenter: Maureen Heidtmann is a Certified Wildlife Conservationist and licensed wildlife caretaker for the state of Connecticut. Her focus is on the conservation of bats, but the health of all wildlife is of major importance to Maureen.
