Volunteer to make Valentines for Seniors
Saturday, January 18 at 10:00 am - Saturday, February 1 at 5:00 pm
A fun and creative volunteer opportunity to bring joy to people in your community!
The Avon Library and the Avon Youth Services Bureau will provide card-making supplies for you to make cards for the seniors of Avon & surrounding towns to bring them joy and cheer this Valentine’s Day.
We are partnering with the Avon Youth Services Board to distribute them to the Avon Senior Center, assisted living facilities, and local oncology centers.
The theme for this session of card making is: Valentine’s Day.
Please use your creativity and your words to spread some cheer for seniors. Send messages of support and encouragement.
Who can make cards? The volunteer card making program is open to children, teens, adults, and families.

1. Come to the 2nd Floor Children’s Room for your supplies starting in mid-January. (Card bags are available while supplies last)
2. Make cards, be creative, write cheerful and kind messages!
3. Drop the cards off to the 2nd floor children’s desk by Sunday, February 2nd at 4:45pm at the latest. There will be a collection box by the desk, or you may hand it directly to a staff member.
