    How can you get access to book talk books?

    Curbside pickup

    You can request library items for contact-free curbside pickup.
    Option 1: Call the Library at 860-673-9712 to request/place holds on items. Once items are ready, you can call the Library to schedule an appointment for pickup.
    Option 2: Place a hold! Place your own holds from home in the Library Catalog. Once the items are ready, you will be notified, and you can call the Library to schedule an appointment for pickup.

    Overdrive

    Download the free Overdrive app. Download e-books, audio books and movies to your computer, mobile device, or eReader. You get a 3 week loan, with up to 10 checkouts at a time. Click here to learn more about Overdrive.

    Hoopla

    Download the free Hoopla app. Instantly borrow e-books and and audio books to your mobile device or tablet.  You get up to  to 6 checkouts per month. Checkout period is 3 weeks for books/audio books/graphic novels and comics. Click here to learn more about Hoopla.

    Listen to The Book Jam! It features our own Marisa, the Teen Librarian from Avon Free Public Library and Mary, the Adult and Teen Services Librarian from Colchester Public Library.

Free Virtual College Entrance Exam Practice Test! The Avon Free Public Library is partnering with C2 Education to offer free, full-length, virtual practice tests for the ACT/SAT/PSAT for local students.  This program is for teens in Grades 8-12.  We will offer this program twice a month, Friday: 10/30,  11/6,  11/20,  12/4,  12/18 Sign up required. Building owner Dwight Schrute has called YOU to solve the mystery of who started the fire! Remember: It's always the person you most medium expect. This family event is suggested for ages 10+.
