August Virtual Teen Writer’s Block

Open to teens entering Grades 7-12  in Fall 2020 (and Class of 2020 graduated seniors).

This meeting will be held via Google Meet.

Sign up required. Please use an email someone checks.  Registered teens will get a link to the Google Meet the morning of August 12th.

This group is for teen writers looking to find other teens with the same interest. Juliana Spink Mills, a wonderfully talented  local science-fiction and fantasy author runs this group.  If you have a short piece of work that you want to share, and which gives us a window to one of your worlds, bring it along!

This month’s theme is: BEATING CREATIVITY SLUMPS!

TEEN WRITER’S BLOCK

This group is for teen writers looking to find other teens with the same interest. Juliana Spink Mills, a wonderfully talented  local science-fiction and fantasy author runs this group.

This month: Bring one page of your work to share, if you want. 

After: we’ll talk about ACTION SCENES and do a writing prompt!

 

 

January Teen Writer’s Block

When: Thursday January 23rd, time: 3:00-4:00 PM

This group is for teen writers looking to find other teens with the same interest. This group will be run by Juliana Spink Mills, a wonderful local science fiction and fantasy author.
This month will be a sharing and feedback day so, if you’d like to share, bring a page or a scene to read to the group this month. 

Descriptions are hard! How much is too much? How little is too  little? This month we’ll talk about descriptions and do a writing exercise!

(If you came to our December meeting and would like to share your LEGO work, bring it!)

Learning how to give and take constructive criticism is a key part of writing; We will practice this skill, and sometimes we will write new material from a prompt.
