Wednesday, October 16, 2019 9am -4pm. Tour and Lunch at Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, Norwalk, CT. Trip via motorcoach to visit their "From Corsets to Suffrage: Victorian Women Trailblazers."  The lunch will be at the Post Road Diner. Cost is $55.00 per person with lunch paid on your own. The merriment, social engagement and frenzy of the holiday season can be upsetting for people who are wrestling with the loss of loved ones, illness, financial or family problems, and other challenges to physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. This program will explore the ways in which grief can be triggered during the holidays and will offer suggestions to reduce distress and boost spirits.

AHS (Archeological and Historical Services) in Storrs, CT will do a public presentation on the Paleo artifacts from the Brian Jones Project on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15 at 5:00 pm at the Avon Senior Center.  The speaker will be David Leslie, presenting with Sarah Sportman who led the team and is a lead archaeologist in this field.
