Art Adventure: Sun Prints

Tuesday, July 9 at 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Early photographers in the 1800s created blue images called cyanotypes, also known as sun prints!  We will experiment with making cyanotypes, or sun prints, by placing objects on a special paper and exposing the paper to sunlight.  Participants are encouraged to bring items from home that you’d like to make prints of!!  Or, use some provided by the library.   Leaves, feathers, keys, or other objects with a well-defined shape will work best.

For those entering Grades 3-6

3:00 – 4:00pm

Meet up on the 2nd Floor of the Children’s Department, out side the Art Studio (2nd floor children’s dept)

Registration is required

Grown-ups please note: Please be aware your child may finish early.  Caregivers are required to remain on the children’s department floor throughout the program.
