Do you love playing chess? Are you in grades 2-8?

Chess club meets once a month on Mondays from 6:30-7:30pm.

Come play chess in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.  Players will rotate partners throughout the evening.  If you are newer to chess – we will show you the basics of how the pieces move, and go over castling and checkmate.  We will plan an initial game together as a “new” table, however no other instruction is provided.

We will meet in the art studio on the 2nd floor children’s department.  Chess boards are provided by the library.

Registration is required – please register below for each date you plan to attend.

*If you are registered but don’t show up by 6:40pm, your spot will be given away to a child waiting on standby.

*Parents/Guardians must stay on the 2nd floor during the event.

*If you are on the waiting list, we will contact you if a spot opens up.  We ask that people no longer able to attend notify the library at least 24 hours in advance or as soon as possible.
