Do you love playing chess? Are you in grades 2-8?

Chess club meets approximately once a month on Mondays from 6:30-7:30pm.  Come play chess in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.  New players are welcome – we will show you the basics of how the pieces move, however no other instruction is provided.  Players will rotate partners throughout the evening.

We will meet in the art studio on the 2nd floor children’s department.  Chess boards are provided by the library.

Registration is required – please register below for each date you plan to attend.

If you are on the waiting list, we will contact you if a spot opens up.  We ask that people no longer able to attend notify the library.

Please note: In accordance with library policy, no child under age 12 may be left alone in the Library for any reason.  Children under 12 may attend chess club alone, but an adult or caregiver must remain inside the library throughout the duration of the program.  Chess club concludes promptly at 7:30pm.
