Nutmeg Narwhals Book Club

This month we will read “Hippopotamister” by John Patrick Green.
This book discussion is for grades 1-3. Nutmeg Narwhals is a book club that meets once a month where we discuss elementary Nutmeg nominees! At each meeting we discuss the book and engage in an activity related to the book!
When: Tuesday, April 25th
Where: In person at the library, 2nd Floor Storytime Room
Who: Recommended for children in grades 1-3.
Books will be available for pick-up beginning Saturday, April 8.
A limited number of books are available. We ask that you come in to pick up your book by April 13, or within 5 days of registration.
How do I join the club?
- Sign up for this event online. Registration opens Thursday March 30.
- Pick up the book from the 2nd Floor Kid’s Desk. Hours: Mon.-Thurs. 10-8:30 PM, Fri. & Sat. 10-5 PM. Sun 1-5 PM.
- Read the book and bring it to the meeting on 04/25. (Books must be returned on the day of the book club meeting)
- If you’re unable to attend the meeting for any reason, please let us know and return your book ASAP to the Avon Library children’s desk.
*Please note that book club books must be returned to the Avon Library. They cannot be returned to other libraries.
