Cody Daigle Orians, creator of Ace Dad Advice and the author of the I AM ACE: ADVICE ON LIVING YOUR BEST ASEXUAL LIFE, and S. J. Taylor, author of “The Witch of Festa Falls,” part of BEING ACE, the first YA ace-centered anthology, lead a conversation that explores the asexual community: understanding what asexuality is, learning what asexuality teaches us about mainstream culture, exploring the value of ace representation in fiction and nonfiction, and teaching how to create ace-affirming space in our lives and communities.

Both I AM ACE: ADVICE ON LIVING YOUR BEST ASEXUAL LIFE and BEING ACE will be available for purchase at the event.

About Cody Daigle Orians

Cody Daigle-Orians (they/them) is a writer and asexuality educator living in Columbus, Ohio. They are the creator of Ace Dad Advice, a social media-based asexuality education project designed to support people exploring asexuality or questioning their sexual orientation. Their passion for education and supporting queer youth stems from ten years in the classroom and many more as a freelance teaching artist. Cody also leads trainings and workshops focused on ace and aro inclusion, as well as on sex and relationships through an ace/aro lens. About S. J. Taylor

S. J. Taylor writes stories steeped in folklore and magic, where young protagonists tackle big adventures and bigger questions. Although she grew up in Arizona’s desert, her heart yearns for the Nordic lands. When she’s not writing, she can often be found knitting yet another sweater (sweater weather is the best weather). She lives in Connecticut with her family.

She is the author of the short story “The Witch of Festa Falls,” part of the Being Ace anthology (Page Street, October 2023) as well as the middle grade historical fantasy Madsi the True (Atheneum, Fall 2024).
