Join us for a moderated conversation with Scott Martelle to celebrate the release of his new book, 1932: FDR, Hoover, and the Dawn of a New America.

1932: FDR, Hoover, and the Dawn of a New America (on-sale November 28, 2023) by acclaimed writer Scott Martelle, deftly recounts this pivotal year in American history by weaving together its significant movements and actions into a stirring narrative of a nation on the cusp of a new era amid political and economic turmoil.  Interspersed with passages from American diaries as well as “newsreel” sections touching on events, this is a remarkably crafted, deeply researched and revealing glimpse into American life nearly 100 years ago. It also mirrors today’s tumultuous times, as Americans look to a presidential campaign that will directly impact the lives of millions.
