You are invited to attend the 50^th Annual Members Meeting of the Avon Historical Society on Wednesday, April 17 beginning PROMPTLY at 6:30 pm  at the ATRIUM of the Avon Free Public Library on the first floor by the circulation desk area.

The meeting will be the standard meeting of reports, elections, and open discussion.  A brief presentation will be made on “Milestones over a Half Century of the Avon Historical Society.” (A celebration of the 50^th anniversary will be held later in the year during the soft opening of the new Avon History Museum.)   

While the meeting is open to all Society members, according to our Bylaws, only “members in good standing” are allowed to vote.  If you do not know if you are member in good standing (have your annual dues paid by April 16, 2024) please contact Terri Wilson at president@avonhistoricalsociety.org or leave a message at 860-678-7621.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, attached is a proxy sheet (if you wish someone else to vote for you) or a mail-in ballot you may use to cast your vote before the meeting. Also attached are the Annual Report and agenda. The mail in ballot, or proxy sheet, needs to be received by April 16 at:  Avon Historical Society, PO Box 448, Avon, CT 06001 or scanned and sent to:  info@avonhistoricalsociety.org
