Doodle All the Animals! Art & Author Event with Amy Latta

Thursday, May 30 at 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

One of our favorite artists returns to celebrate a new book! Join Amy Latta for a virtual “doodle-along”, where we’ll learn the basics for creating animals. We’re excited to host her again, as we had fun during the release of  Doodle Everything!

The Ultimate Collection of Doodles from the Wild Side

Animal lovers, grab your pencils! Take your doodles to the next level with adorable, easy-to-draw wildlife from Amy Latta, bestselling author of Doodle Everything! From aardvark to zebra, Amy breaks down each animal drawing into simple shapes and effortless steps that produce the cutest creatures every time, no matter your age or skill level. Plus, blank practice spaces are provided throughout so you can doodle as you go!

As you draw along, you’ll love learning unexpected facts about your favorite animals: Did you know woodpeckers have a unique bone that protects their brains from damage when pecking? Or that nine-banded armadillos almost always give birth to identical quadruplets? With bonus tutorials on how to draw animal families and habitats, you’ll be decorating notebooks, planners, greeting cards and more with doodles like:

• A pack of wolves howling at the full moon in a forest clearing
• A color-filled under-the-sea scene complete with angelfish, anemones, sharks and even a blobfish!
• A pride of lions (including a lioness and cub!) ruling over the grassy savanna
• Your very own furry best friend at home, from retrievers and bulldogs to calicos or hermit crabs

Let your creativity run wild on every page with this encouraging, easy, all-in-one collection!

Amy Latta is passionate about inspiring her online community by sharing honest inspiration for everyday life. On her award-winning blog amylattacreations.com, you’ll find easy-to-follow hand lettering tutorials, along with all kinds of craft and DIY projects anyone can create. She also loves teaching in-person and virtual workshops all across the United States through Michaels Community Classroom, Pinners Conference, and other venues. Another of Amy’s favorite avenues for sharing creative tips is doing segments on lifestyle television shows like Good Day PA, Great Day Live Tampa, SA Live!, Arizona Midday, AM Northwest, Hello Iowa, KSL Studio 5, and Hallmark Home & Family. And, of course, you can learn from Amy by reading one or all of her five books on hand lettering, the most popular of which, Hand Lettering for Relaxation, has sold over 100,000 copies. Amy is happiest when crafting, and when she’s not covered in paint, you can find her working on hand lettered art and professional design collaborations. Her original lettered designs have been featured nationally in GAP stores and Starbucks commercials. Amy is a Maryland girl who runs on iced coffee and loves spending time with her husband, their two sons, and their furry friends Flynn and Pumpkin. Learn more on her website.

The first 10 people to register will receive a drawing supply prize pack to pick up before the program. (Local pickup only)

We’re also giving away 10 copies of the book during the event!

Please register; Zoom links will go out before the event.
