Navigating Aging Alone: Planning is Necessary for Success! (Lions Club in-person program)

Tuesday, May 21 at 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Navigating Aging Alone: Planning is necessary for success.

Do you consider yourself a “Solo Ager”? Are you an individual who might find yourself navigating the process of aging alone? If so, you are part of a growing population of older adults who must consider a unique set of concerns and challenges. Although the task may seem daunting, addressing these concerns can be successfully executed with deliberate assessment, exploration and planning. Come join me for a discussion about some key areas that must be considered when developing a plan for thriving solo. Some of the topics that will be covered include: developing a “care
team”, critical documents, ensuring your wishes are honored, and emergency preparedness.

Nancy Frodermann, RN, MSN, iRNPA, has over 35 years of nursing experience and is the sole proprietor of NorthStar RN Patient Advocacy. She has cared for a full spectrum of patients in a wide variety of settings from the military to managed care, ER, hospice and community health. She is trained in gerontology and recently completed patient advocacy training. Nancy approaches health from an integrative perspective—pulling the best from multiple medical modalities. She is available to provide education, advocacy, and guidance to clients looking for assistance in improving their health or navigating the health care system.

This program will run 90 minutes. Please register so we can set the community room up with appropriate seating.
