Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Virtual Film Discussion

Wednesday, February 21 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a virtual discussion of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in preparation for our virtual event with author Philip Gefter on February 28 at 7pm.   Both events will be moderated by Bob Kagan and Tina Panik.

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? 2 hours, 11 minutes. A history professor and his wife entertain a young couple who are new to the university’s faculty. As the drinks flow, secrets come to light, and the middle-aged couple unload onto their guests the full force of the bitterness, dysfunction, and animosity that defines their marriage.  This film is available from the library, or to rent on Amazon, AppleTV, and YouTube.  Watch the trailer here

Bob Kagan was Chair of the Communication Department at Manchester Community College for 30 years. In his “unretirement” he teaches Communication courses at Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford. He has been leading film discussions at the Avon Free Public Library for the past 7 years.

Please register; Zoom links will be sent out before the event.
