Python is a free, lightweight coding program with the ability to help a coder build anything their heart desires – but all the best things start with the basics!
This program introduces students in Grades 5 – 6 to the basics of working with Python, learning terminology and proper indentation in order to end up with a point-and-click video game. Python is one of the building blocks of popular video games like The Sims 4.
Within this class, students will learn to read Python’s coding language, recognize terms and commands, and make strides in learning to fix errors. This will assist them in learning problem-solving and exactly how much work goes into the video games they cherish.
WARNING: Python requires reading, writing, and patience. If a student doesn’t quite have a grip on these yet, this course might prove difficult and frustrating rather than interesting and rewarding.
