Memory Care Collection

The Avon Free Public Library has a Memory Care Collection! 

This community resource, funded by the Friends of the Avon Library, provides a calm, quiet area for the enjoyment of those with memory care issues, as well as their caregivers and family, to provide information, comfort, and inspire connections and conversation. It is situated in an alcove near large windows on the first floor and features comfy chairs and custom-made artwork.

The Memory Care Collection includes books, magazines, DVD’s, sensory items, and themed activity kits that patrons can check out. 

Adjacent to the collection is a resource table with information about helpful services available both locally and online. It is also the place to find out about any upcoming library programs related to memory care.
