Big Buddies sign up here for Winter 2026 Book Buddies

Teens in Grades 7-12 can sign up to be a Big Buddy!

Are you a teen who needs volunteer hours? Do you like volunteering with little kids? Book Buddies is for you!

What is Book Buddies?

Big Buddies are teen volunteers in Grades 7-12. You will get paired with your own Little Buddy in Grades K-3.

What do we do? We meet, read together, and we do an art project each week. 

Dates: Time: 4:30-5:30 PM for 4 Thursdays on the following dates:

3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26

*We ask Big Buddies to arrive 15 minutes early to gather books to read with their buddy*

Registration required. When you register you sign up for all four Book Buddies dates!

New Buddies must attend a 45 minute orientation. 

Choose one date to attend:

Thursday, February 19th, 4:30-5:15 pm

Or Thursday, February 26th, 4:30-5:15 pm

New Big Buddies need to take the in person orientation. You will go through a quick training which includes learning the layout out the Children’s floor and where to find the best books for your Little Buddy. 

If you were a Big Buddy in the previous two Book Buddies sessions, you do NOT have to do orientation again.
