SENSORY STORYTIME Tues. 1/12, 6:30-7:15pm
FOR AGES 3-10
Shanon Stevens presents Sensory Storytime!   Join us for a welcoming, small-group storytime ideal for any child who may benefit from a modified storytime experience (especially those on the autism spectrum, who have sensory processing difficulties, or struggle in large groups).
After the storytime, families are welcome to stay for playtime at different sensory stations! This program is designed for children ages 3-10 who are functioning at a preschool to early elementary developmental level. Registration is limited to 6 children, with each of their caregivers present in the room.

reduced noise
additional visual aids
sensory objects
There will be one Tuesday evening Sensory Storytime each month from October 2026 – January 2027.
Sign up separately for each date you can attend. Registration required. Space is limited.

Shanon Stevens is an inclusive library programming consultant with over 20 years of leadership experience in public and school libraries. She holds both a Master of Library Science and a Master’s degree in Special Education. Her work centers on helping libraries expand access to literacy programming through developmentally informed, sensory-aware design.
