Rhyme your way to freedom in Cat Witches, the latest table-top role-playing game presented by the Avon Free Public Library’s Table-Top Role-Playing Club! You play as a formerly fearsome witch, one who awakens on Halloween night to find themself trapped in a cat’s body without the name which gives them their power. Though your fellow cat witches know your name, they can only tell you what it is in rhyme, the witches’ language. Each piece of your name will unlock further magical powers and get you closer to restoring yourself to human form!
Because of this, sign-ups will only be open for a week so all attending cat witches can be named. Sign-ups will close Sunday, October 11th.Â
Cat Witches is a cooperative role-playing game to help teach teamwork, problem-solving, and storytelling skills, as well as continue players’ language proficiency! A TTRPG is a game for anyone to play, where we disengage from our screens and together write a story with fictional characters. Many people turn their TTRPG into a story of their own. Friends in Grades 4-6 who enjoyed the magic of Library Cats and the puzzles of Baby Dragons will love this new Halloween-themed adventure story!
