On display in our Gallery for the month of October is an exhibit by Robert Carley entitled ART STARS: Caricatures of Famous Artists from History & Today. Carley’s detailed sketches capture the lives of more than 200 artists ranging from Vincent Van Gogh to MC Escher to Chuck Jones. Each caricature is paired with biographical insights and personal quotes that offer a unique look at how these icons shaped the art world. This exhibit is timed to coincide with International Artists Day. International Artists Day is celebrated every year on October 25th, honoring artists worldwide and recognizing Pablo Picasso’s birthday on October 25, 1881.
