Welcome to the world of Pokémon! Join us for this 3 week program where we will be playing through the video game Pokémon: FireRed. Children will work on their reading, speaking, and comprehension skills by reading text on screen, making story decisions, and building a Pokémon team. Children will NOT be playing the game, instead they will be working with others to decide on tactics, analyze elements of the story, and decide where to go. This program’s goal is to build literacy skills through play.
What is Bookwyrms?
Calling all dragon enjoyers, unicorn fanatics, lovers of games and books! Bookwyrms is an afterschool social group for kids ages 7 – 12 to discuss all things geeky & nerdy. Enjoy sharing all your wonderful interests during library programs focused on fantasy/sci-fi book, video games, table top games, role playing, and crafts!
