Sift for treasure with the Avon Children’s Department’s latest workshop! Fill a jar with colorful sand and cute trinkets, and spend an hour or two twisting and turning it to find all the buried treasure! This workshop provides all the materials necessary for one jar per participant, and we’re well aware we’ll be vacuuming sand out of the art studio for ages to come! Come dressed for mess and leave with a jar of treasures for your collection! Each jar will be decorated with a custom map for seeking and finding its hidden riches!
Buried Treasure Jars (also known as I-Spy Jars) are containers filled with sand and trinkets, useful for long car rides, waiting rooms, and unexpected delays! Often, they make wonderful crafts, fun fidget toys, and useful for long stretches of time where someone needs to sit in a still and quiet fashion.
This program is for participants in second grade or older. Please sign up only one child per entry.
The treasure jars are made from repurposed materials. The previous contents of these jars did contain nut and wheat allergens. Alternative jars can be provided, but may have a disparity in size.Â
