Local Author Festival

Our 2020 Local Author Festival planning survey has closed. We are currently holding all applications while we navigate the COVID-19 situation.  When the library re-opens to the public, and we can safely host programs, we will arrange this series.

Our theme for 2020 will be: Authors in AFPL Getting Coffee. Inspired by Jerry Seinfield’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, this series will feature panel discussions, one-on-one author interviews, and, of course, COFFEE! Events will run from June–August of 2020.

The Avon Library’s Local Author Festival was held from May-August, 2019. Writers from New England and the tri-state area visit to share their work, inspiration, and ideas with our audience. We have featured the talents of Ann Leary, Matthew Dicks, Kristan Higgins, James Fry, Adriana Trigiani, and Andrew Gross, Archer Mayor, and many more.

We may post author events here in the meantime.
