This program will provide an exploration of the historical, social, and cultural aspects of Muslims in America from their early presence to contemporary times. It examines the multifaceted experiences, challenges, contributions, and diversity within the Muslim American community.  Students will engage with historical texts and personal narratives to understand the complex tapestry of Muslim American identity.

Fasting together: Muslims and Ramadan

A a comprehensive introductory course highlighting the significance, practices, and cultural aspects of Ramadan, the holiest month in Islam. This course aims to provide a thorough understanding of Ramadan and its traditions for those unfamiliar. Students will gain an understanding  of the diversity of Muslim experiences, increasing knowledge of their Muslim neighbors.
