Check out one of 37 copies (including e-books & audiobooks) purchased with funds from the Avon Education Foundation a couple weeks before October 8th, read as much of it as you can before the book discussion, then lend your voice to the conversation!

We will discuss the topics within the book using materials from the book’s website, and learn how to talk to one another about the way that tech companies are trying to train our brains to depend on them.

Adult caregivers of youth will meet with librarians in the community room, while youth will meet with the teen librarian in the teen room.

In today’s fast-paced digital world, few issues are as urgent-and as universally misunderstood-as the epidemic of anxiety and depression plaguing our youngest and most vulnerable. An epidemic with ties to digital addiction, ubiquitous screens, and 24/7 connectivity.

Despite mounting evidence of the emotional and psychological consequences, a practical, accessible, and personalized approach to understanding and addressing this crisis has been missing-until now. This groundbreaking book is the result of a unique collaboration between two leading experts in their fields: Paul D. Tieger and Michael Shelby. Their partnership brings together decades of insight from two distinct but deeply interconnected worlds-personality psychology and technology addiction treatment.
