This group will be led by poet and author Christine Beck.
Christine will present a poem by a well-known poet, invite people to comment on it, and then offer a short writing exercise. The exercise would be fun and easy—no poetry background
required. It’s always fun to share what everyone comes up with. This series is sponsored by the Connecticut Poetry Society.
This first meeting featured poet Mary Oliver.
The group will decide who to feature next: Emily Dickinson, Jane Kenyon, Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, or Lucille Clifton.
