View the Environmental Justice Exhibit, March 5 -March 23, 2026, in the atrium.
Join our Public Facilitated Dialogue, March 23, 2026, 6:30-8:30 PM
The Hartford Environmental Justice Research Partnership aims to utilize participatory research and storytelling to understand injustices and promote dialogue about environmental equity. It is directed by Trinity College faculty project leads, Amanda Guzmán, Abigail Williamson, and Garth Myers. The pop-up banner series communicates the project overview, Hartford research context, and preliminary findings from methods ranging from archival research to oral history.
Step into the exhibit and join a guided small-group conversation about environmental justice in Greater Hartford. Connect with neighbors, share perspectives, and engage in thoughtful dialogue in a welcoming setting. Learn about environmental issues shaping our region, including the closure of the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority facility and its implications for waste management, public health, and regional planning.
The Hartford Environmental Justice Research Partnership is a research collaboration between Trinity College’s @trincollcher, Center for Caribbean Studies, and @trinitycugs, with community partners at the @cljct and the @stowecenter. This 3-year project is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Please register, so we can set up enough chairs in the atrium.
