Join us for a fun-filled day that celebrated cozy mysteries. We’re partnering with Kensington Books to plan a great day of authors, programs, book signings, and giveaways! Enjoy an author showcase, speed dating with an author, panel discussions, and a scavenger hunt. There will be snacks, a hot cocoa bar, and plenty of swag!
This event is free to attend. Programs will begin at 11:00 am; the library opens at 10:00 am
Tentative Schedule: (as of 3/3/26)
10:00 am: Avon Library opens; cocoa bar opens; raffle prizes and scavenger hunt begin
10:30 am: Swag Bag Pickup: all those who’ve registered get a Kensington Swag Bag
11:10 am: Â Panel discussion: Literary (and Writerly) Sleuths
12:00 pm: Panel discussion: Mysteries of history
12:40 pm: lunch (light lunch, will be provided by Kensington Books
1:40 pm: Panel discussion: The Cozy Mystery Writing Process
2:30 pm: Panel discussion: Crafts & Crimes, Hobby Sleuths
3:15 pm: Trivia to conclude the day
Books will be for sale and autographing throughout the day. Cash or check, except during 12:30-2:00 pm, when credit cards will be accepted, thanks to the Friends of the Library.
Speed dating with an author (find your perfect book match!) will run during the panel times, for those who want a different activity.
