New this season, the Palace Theater takes the show on the road. As stunning as the theater is today, it has a dazzling past. Join us as we travel through the historic stages of the Palace from its inception, its heyday, its “seen better” days and its 21st century renovation. Meg Luddy has worked at the Palace since its epic 2004 reopening, and will present a slide show depicting the many lives of the historic landmark in downtown Waterbury.
The Palace Theater has been the jewel of Waterbury since 1922. Our presenter today, Meg Luddy, has been associated with the theater since its 2004 re-opening, first in a part time capacity as a volunteer, then as Aisle Captain, House Manager, and eventually as the Operational Events Manager where she headed the Volunteer Program, Tour Program, and all Front of House staff activities. She has recently semi-retired to devote all her energies solely to the tour program, which has always been her pet project.
Registration is required for this in-person event.
